  • Pray through character words that are found in Scripture
    • As you pray through these character, reflect on ways that they can be applied to your daily life, examples would be: the anointing, power and filling of the Holy Spirit; genuine humility and brokenness; Spiritual zeal and diligence; wisdom and discernment; immovability; steadfastness; spiritual soberness; a spiritual passion and fervency for the things of God; a spirit of true worship; purity and motives; a quickened mind; a spirit of revelations and understanding; boldness and spiritual authority; spiritual protection from sin, self, satan, and the world

Spend time in Intercession for others, above all ask God to guide you through the Holy Spirit through this time of Intercession. Ezekiel 22:30, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make a hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none.”

  • Pray for sweeping revival and spiritual awakening, pray this way:
  • Ask God to pour out deep conviction of sin, spiritual brokenness, a holy fear of God and genuine repentance among His people. 2 Cor 7:10, “For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but the sorrow of the world produces death.”
  • Pray for deep cleansing, genuine repentance, and spiritual power to engulf pastors and leaders. Ephesians 6:14-20, “Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having SHOD YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And TAKE THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, BE ON THE ALERT with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, AND PRAY on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
  • Pray for God to bestow spiritual hunger in His people and draw them to fervent intercession. Philippians 2:13, “…for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.”
  • Pray that God would protect and bring loving unity into our church and deep harmony between our churches. John 13:35 Jesus said, “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
  • Pray that God would fill His people with a passion to see people saved. Matthew 18:12 Jesus said, “What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?”
  • Pray that God would call people from our church into ministry, missions, and Christian service. Matthew 9:37 Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
  • Specifically pray for God to pour out His Spirit in a fashion even greater than He did in America in 1858 and Wales in 1904. Ten percent of Wales’s population was saved in six months! Ask God for a modern day Pentecost in the USA. Mark 11:22-24 Jesus said, “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you.”

Spend time in Meditation, above all ask God to guide you through the Holy Spirit through this time of Meditation. Psalms 1:1-3, “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.”

  • Read God’s Word Daily at this point and as you read, ask God to speak to your heart
